COVENTRY’S Jason Powell landed the biggest win of his career after triumphing in an epic six-hole play-off to clinch the Welsh National PGA Championship at Ashburnham. The 34-year-old, who is the teaching professional at Hinckley Golf Club, beat Calvin O’Carroll and Matt Dearden to pocket the £6,150 first prize and etch his name in the honour roll alongside such great names as former champions Ian Woosnam, Dai Rees and Brian Huggett.
