Huff Po claims to be in possession of a memo documenting a secret deal between the Obama administration and the pharmaceutical lobby.  Obviously, this angered the left. Critics on Capitol Hill and online responded with outrage at the reports that Obama had gone behind their backs and sold the reform movement short. Furthermore, the deal seemed to be a betrayal of several promises made by then-Sen.

President Barack Obama just signed a disaster declaration for Kentucky. Federal aid will now supplement recovery efforts in the area struck by storms and flooding on August 4th. Funding is also now available to individuals affected in Jefferson County. From the press release: Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

At least, there isn’t one that makes any sense to me. Over a year ago, I attempted to join a conservative website called “Red State.” I was shouted out of there because I am, in fact,a northeastern conservative more in line with what we used to call a “Rockefeller Republican” and I was a strong supporter of people like Pete DuPont and George H. W. Bush. I was a Tom Clancy Republican, really, if you want to be precious about it.
