Once again our friends across ‘the pond’ have reported vital information that our media doesn’t seem to think we should be hearing. The implications for our energy costs and even our currency are enormous and are explained in this article as only the British press can do. Energy crisis is postponed as new gas rescues the world Engineers have performed their magic once again. The world is not going to run short of energy as soon as feared.

And they say the GOP has a civility problem. President Barack Obama called rap star Kanye West “a jackass.” Vice President Joe Biden told a senator to “Gimme a f—-ing break!” Economic adviser Christina Romer declared that Americans had yet to have their “holy s—-” moment over the economy. Those who pay attention to political rhetoric say an unusual amount of profanity has emanated from this White House – even without counting famously colorful White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Up until the exaltation of The One – may socialist Scandinavians place golden medallions around his neck forever – the Democrats’ spiel on Afghanistan was that it was the right war , the top priority war, the just war, the necessary war, but that the devil Bush ignored Afghanistan while he focused on Iraq. Iraq, of course, was the unwinnable war (even after Bush won it), and the surge strategy was bound to be a costly failure (even after it worked).

But who knew that these five leftists Norwegian Arctic Circle Moonbats were going to hand the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama? For what? For not being George Bush, that’s what! Hopefully you weren’t all that surprised. Since I wasn’t here [...]

SEIU Local 880, based in Chicago, is one of the largest SEIU union locals. It was founded and has been long controlled by ACORN and Wade Rathke. This recently uncovered video shows presidential candidate Barack Obama discussing his long and close ties to SEIU. This is not your typical political pandering. “He is, so to speak, the son Alfred Nobel never had (minus the dynamite fortune), the best and most significant spokesman for everything the Peace Prize has stood for these 108 years.” Wall Street Journal columnist Bret Stephens • Describing why Barack Obama may, in fact, be worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. Stephens notes that the award, minus a few oddball exceptions (Yasser Arafat) and obvious winners (Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr.), has largely been given to “Goodists,” people who have made an effort to be seen as good and to see problems as solvable misunderstandings between well-intentioned people.

“Nearly every time the Nobel Committee hands its ‘Peace Prize’ to a politician, the hand which accepts it is a hand literally dripping innocent blood. Barack Obama isn’t an exception to that rule — he embodies it. Elected to the US Senate in 2004 on a platform which included opposition to the US war on Iraq, he proceeded to routinely vote in favor of continuing and funding that war as a sitting Senator.

OFFICIAL: TALIBAN BETTER FINANCED THAN AL-QAIDA The Taliban are in much stronger financial shape than al-Qaida and rely on a wide range of criminal activities to pay for attacks on U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan, a senior Treasury Department official said Monday. David Cohen, the department’s assistant secretary for terrorist financing, said the extremist group extorts money from poppy farmers and heroin traffickers involved in Afghanistan’s booming drug trade.* The Taliban also demand protection payments from legitimate Afghan businesses, he said during a speech at a conference on money laundering enforcement.
