This is a fantastic article from American Thinker. Barack Obama seems anxious to follow in the footsteps of the last century’s most well-known appeasers, Chamberlain and Carter. And if our president were even half as smart as his billing has claimed, then he would know — merely judging from these two — that appeasers never win and their wimpy foreign policy never saved anyone’s day. Quite the opposite, in fact. Link to full article .

I read an article this weekend about one man’s struggles to come to a truly “Christian” perspective to public life, welfare and government. There are people calling themselves Christians who have fallen right in line with the President and are pushing him to turn our health care system into a government run operation as they believe it is the fairest way to make sure everyone gets the care they need. Others, equally sincere are fighting this expansion of government tooth and nail.

“Now they tell us. Sixteen years after institutionalizing a denigration of gay people, the Pentagon is discovering that its “don’t ask, don’t tell’’ policy has been a moral catastrophe.” James Carroll in the Boston Post commenting upon an article in the upcoming military journal The Joint Forces Quarterly that was written by the office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to be released later this month.

Special Inspector General Neil Barofsky tells us what most of us already know: TARP money went to losers. According to IG Barofsky, institutions receiving money in the first round of redistribution of taxpayer’s wealth, were not sound institutions and should not have qualified for the funds. Henry Paulson Ben Bernake “These are healthy institutions, and they have taken this step for the good of the economy,” Paulson had declared at the time .

WASHINGTON – As President Barack Obama grapples with the way ahead in Afghanistan, a decision to launch a new investigation into a deadly firefight is a painful reminder of the challenges the U.S. faces in a country known as the graveyard of empires …

If they had gone to the New York Times , the nation would see it as just another example of the Gray Lady’s unrepentant sixties bra burning hysteria against war. Instead, the Obama administration has gone to the Washington Post to begin the process of getting rid of their troublesome General who dares to think winning in Afghanistan is possible. To understand why and how, we must refer to Jonah Goldberg and his important work Liberal Fascism . This book is necessary reading to understand the goings on of the Obama White House.

President Obama will speak to a gathering of gay rights activists this weekend, a day before thousands of people are expected to march on Washington in a demonstration calling for greater legal protections for gays, lesbians and transgendered Americans. Mr. Obama’s appearance on Saturday at the annual dinner for the Human Rights Campaign, a leading gay rights advocacy group, represents a significant show of support for gay rights at a time when many prominent gay and lesbian activists have been questioning the president’s commitment to their issues.

Looks like Spencer and Heidi have put a hold on their honeymoonin’. Spencer Pratt aka Speidi (hate conjoined names with a passion) was interviewed by Pop Wrap of the NY Post , and happened to mention that he hasn’t been gettin’ any from his wifey-poo because he is a fraid of her becoming pregnant. He is preventing Heidi’s dream of becoming a mother by refusing her sex. Oh Spencer, you are a side splitter! He says that Heidi has him ” debating whether to cut off his nuts” .

Tom Campbell first ran for Congress in 1988 and used just a handful of tools to reach voters in the Silicon Valley district he eventually won. Getting the campaign’s message out then meant sending out mailers, running print and broadcast advertisements, and speaking to the media. Interacting with voters often meant knocking on their doors. More than two decades later, Campbell is running for the Republican nomination for governor. This time, he’s reaching millions of people without leaving the comfort of his computer.
