The big news this morning was that the Senate Finance Committee had a version of health care reform that actually was projected to reduce the 10 year budget deficit, by just a little bit. This aspect was, never the less, receiving more attention than the other elements of the plan. While this is probably positive news, it is hard to believe without much more information. Today the US spends $ 6567 per capita on health care according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
