I’m going to admit something kind of geeky. I really like favicons. They’re fun. They’re a great branding tool. And they’re something simple that small business owners can do to spice up their sites and even increase usability for users. If you don’t know what a favicon is, let me offer some assistance: Favicons are the mini, 16×16 pixel graphics that represent your Web site up in the address bar, in a user’s list of bookmarks or in their browser tabs.

Matthew Swanson and Robbi Behr ‘97 are collaborating with caped superhero Cory Doctorow (the blogger behind the beloved Boing Boing ) on his new book, Makers , which is about two guys living in the not-too-distant future who invent things out of junk, start a movement, eat lots of IHOP, and end up having all sorts of dicey legal adventures with minions of the Disney corporation. The book will be released in 81 parts on Tor.com (the whole thing will be released in October, but you can start reading it  here – the first 14 parts have already been published).

More to see in Guanajuato than can be photographed.I’ve been to Mexico on 5 different trips in the last 3 years. And this is the 1st time I’ve made it to Guanajuato.A UNESCO world heritage siteandthe Land of the Frogs – everyone I know was incredulous that I had never quite made it to this beautiful city. However, let me tell you, getting there from Cuernavaca was not quite as easy as it should have been.World Famous for a New World Spin on Old World Charm, Guanajuato is a true treasure in the Mexico MountainsSometimes it’s hard to make travel plans – and coordinate schedules.
