Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News , World News , and News about the Economy For fans of Republican self-destruction, it doesn’t get better than this year’s Congressional race in New York’s 23rd District . Dierdre Scozzafava, the Republican nominee, would normally be a shoo-in in the heavily red upstate district. However, conservatives upset with her comparatively moderate voting record (She supports raising taxes to pay for government services and balance the budget.

This is what life will be like if you get sick under Obamacare. The democrats resurrected government-run healthcare that is designed to crush private insurance, stifle medical innovation and tax the holy bejeezus out of you and your progeny. The 894 Billion dollar program (just for starting it up!) can be downloaded here . But be warned, its 2000 pages long. Michelle Malkin has more. Remember the long lines of people trying to get a flu shot? Now imagine that those shots are distributed with all of the efficiency of a DMV visit.

Flotsam and Jetsam – commentarymagazine.com 10/29/2009 Only 23 percent of Pennsylvania voters think  Sen. Arlen Specter deserves re-election. And Obama’s approval rating in the state is the lowest of his presidency — 45 percent. Not a good way to celebrate his six-month anniversary as a Democrat (well, a Democrat after he was a Republican after he was a Democrat). “Beyond disgraceful” is how Charles Krauthammer describes Obama’s “child-like” fixation on blaming George W.

How the FCC and liberal churches are scheming to shut you up Michelle Malkin – Syndicated Columnist – 10/28/2009 9:40:00 AM The war on conservative speech has moved from the White House to your neighborhood pews. Left-wing church leaders want the Federal Communications Commission to crack down on “hate speech” over cable TV and right-leaning talk-radio airwaves. President Obama’s speech-stifling bureaucrats seem all too happy to oblige.

“Transformative change” by sheikyermami on October 28, 2009 Look out America, you not gonna like this: “Without media justice, there will be no social justice!” The “interfaith coalition for media justice” is led by the United Church of Christ. Yes, that’s the same church of Obama’s race-baiting, Jew-bashing ex-pastor Jeremiah Wright.

Every so often the question of gender parity in the blatherosphere pops up like a whack-a-mole. This time, somewhat unusually, the question was raised by a man: If you spend any time looking at social media demographics, there’s one stat you see over and over: women dominate the space. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter — all are more popular with women than men. So it was a bit jarring this week to see that 67% of bloggers are male , according to the newest installment of the Technorati State of the Blogosphere report.

Title from Michelle Malkin: Homegrown jihad in Detroit: “America must fall” Detroit Free Press: Detroit imam urged use of force to start a new society A federal indictment unsealed Wednesday in Detroit provides unprecedented detail into a world where, authorities say, a group of radical Sunni Muslims were urged to take over the U.S. government and establish Islamic law. The complaint says that the imam or leader of the group, Luqman Ameen Abdullah, repeatedly used rhetoric that urged Muslims to seize power with violence and establish a society where Muslims would rule over non-Muslims.

Or as Glenn Beck might say, this is just another example of Obama’s use of Fascist techniques in his ongoing attempt to subvert the Constitution, create a permanent tyranny and destroy our Grand Republic: President Obama traveled to Dover Air Force Base early Thursday morning, where he met with family members and paid his respects as the bodies of 18 Americans killed this week in Afghanistan were returned to the United States.

Ahem (via Raw Story ): A very reliable source tells FishbowlDC that Fox News SVP Michael Clemente met with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs this morning and reached what some are calling a “truce.” Clemente then met with the FNC Washington bureau and encouraged staff to remain “fair and balanced.” WH spox Robert Fibbs, er, Gibbs has probably (or will probably) spin this as a “positive development” but in reality I believe this had more to do with Senior White House advisor

No jokes now, folks.  It’s zero flak time. As reported at Michelle Malkin, another definition of free speech suppression has arisen:  “media justice”.  Paired up with the standard-issue refrain of “hate speech”, it’s an attempt by various liberal churches to try and silence conservatives on the issue of illegal immigration. I can’t say I’m much surprised.  Apparently, [...]

Maddy says: Michelle Malkin is one of my all-time favorite TV commentators. I absolutely LOVED it when she was a regular on O’Reilly’s :”Factor” program on Fox News. Hiraldo Rivera screwed that all up for the rest of us (thanks big mouth!) This women is an real asset for the country in the regard that she digs up uncomfortable facts that the foaming mouth lefties want to stay overlooked and forgotten. Keep up the great work Michelle!! We love your books and appearances.

Yet again, we have complaints about the lack of “gender diversity” , to quote the feminists, in the blogosphere. This crap gets so old, but for some reason, it continually gets brought up. I guess there’s some kind of silent conspiracy against women bloggers. This is obvious because more women use Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace then men do, so clearly there should be more women blogging, too. Or something. If you spend any time looking at social media demographics, there’s one stat you see over and over: women dominate the space.

Republican senators and members of the media highlight President Obama’s failure to live up to his pledge to conduct health care negotiations in full view of the public. Senators and media members also highlight the White Houses alarming tendency to seek to punish those who don’t share its views. H/T Michelle Malkin

Memeorandum… Michael Calderone at The Politico: News gets worse for the MSM There have been a lot of bad days recently for what’s come to be known as the mainstream media — or MSM — but Monday was one of the worst.  —  New circulation figures showed that big city papers had lost as much as a quarter of their circulation in the past six months. [...] And CNN is now last on the list of network news.  No wonder they went after Valarie Jarrett.  Maybe it’s this: Mike’s America at FA: Sen.

Michelle Malkin: Obama’s FCC, liberal churches, and the “media justice” mob That would be the “socialized” churches, right?  Media Justice?  Is that the Obamedia?  Oh.  That’s right.  It’s the FCC with their Fairness Doctriine…more of that “socialized” broadcast tomfoolery. My syndicated column today (reprinted below) probes the FCC/left-wing church alliance to silence conservative critics of illegal immigration through “hate speech” regulation. Tip of the iceberg.

Florida Congressman Alan Grayson has made a quick trip from obscurity to practically dominating the news cycle. Of course, his claim to fame is not due what most people would characterize as positive. In fact, as we all know, the reason for his present notoriety is thanks to his being downright distatsteful.
