Candilicious came out around 1987. It was a chewy candy sort of like Bonkers. If you need a modern equivalent picture a much chewier Starburst. I thought they were pretty tasty, but I can’t say I liked the idea of using a snake as mascot for candy. Very colorful, but kind of creepy. Share this on del.icio.us Digg this! It turns out the same dyes that work on computer parts also work on Lego bricks, which are also, in my experience, seemingly never available in the color you need. Lego purists generally frown on paints and adhesives, but frankly being an active builder can get pretty expensive pretty fast, and a lot of that is due to having to order elements you may already have in abundance, but in the wrong color. And sometimes the element you want may not even be manufactured in the color you need at all.

Bedlam humour. Here’s a quick one-liner contribution from Mark P. Sadler, author of ‘Blood on His Hands’. If you like it, please give it a thumbs up on Stumble or Digg to let others know about it. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl ‘Will you marry me?’ The girl said, ‘NO!’ So, the guy lived… [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

If you’re in search of a home that can withstand even the most powerful natural disasters , the solution might reside in the nearest tree. A team of researchers from five universities are currently working on ways to make wood earthquake-proof . If they succeed, the world may soon see cheap, sustainable wooden homes that can hold up even when earthquakes shake them to their cores.

If you look to the top right of this post, you’ll see a really cool button. The service I’m using is called “ Tweetmeme ”, and you can use it to retweet post titles that sound worth sharing to your friends. There was a point when I actually cared enough about Digg to say that digging posts was worthwhile. But, since gaming Digg is a sport for the high posters, trolls run rampant, and I rarely get enough traffic from Digg to even bother with it, this is a great alternative to be able to get my posts out to other people. In one day, I’ve seen my twitter traffic go up, and I’m sure that as it continues to gain popularity more and more people will see the potential.
