That’s a quote by Thomas Jefferson. I have another one for you. “The press has met their Waterloo, and it’s Obama.” Rush Limbaugh I’ve been thinking a lot about the continuing integration of the press and the president. This has especially been the case since we just had t he Baghdad Bob/Tokyo Rose summit at the White House in the war against Fox News . Now, I’m no fan of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, or Glenn Beck, but there’s something just a little weird when a President invites all his fluffers over for tea. We saw tons of that stuff going on with bloggers, but get an eyeful of this list and associations of the invitees.

“Alice laughed: “There’s no use trying,” she said; “one can’t believe impossible things.” BPSDB One of the great challenges in any social justice activism is that the ultimate goal is, practically speaking, impossible. Whether we are talking about ending poverty or human trafficking, stopping climate change or saving the whales, any sort of realistic analysis says that they are unattainable goals that are beyond ridiculous. Needless to say contemplating the obvious futility of one’s efforts is not the most uplifting way to spend time.

I’m thrilled to let you know I’ll be a guest blogger on Steve Thomas’s blog, A Life Change For You tomorrow. Steve was a guest at my blog, Kreative Ramblings , yesterday, October 22, and so I traded a post with him that will be published at his blog tomorrow. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to stop over to see what else Steve has. There’s great video there, too.

I wouldn’t want to be the goalie here, coach would be ringing your ear for weeks. This surely ends his hopes for play at Man U, Ac Milan or anywhere professionally . You can get a free sample of Pampers Extra Protection here (courtesy of Walmart) Pampers.com is also offering a chance to win a years supply of FREE diapers when you join Pampers.com . Even if you don’t win, it’s always good to be on their mailing lists for coupons, etc. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – some of the best coupons come from home mailers! I admit this is pretty cool. It’s amazing they can fit the components into such a thin case, but my question is why? I don’t necessarily want a laptop that’s a couple of pieces of paper thick. I need to see these things proven before I’m sold. Do they overheat? Are they flimsy? Do they feel cheaply made? What kind of performance do you get? How thin is too thin? I won a Flip MinoHD from YourTribute.com and it arrived yesterday. I’ve been real anxious to try it out. Since it’s Casual Friday and I haven’t done one in a while, this was a great opportunity to try it out. Let me know what you think of the quality of this video? What’s the Big Lebowski of all power tools? Easy…a sliding-compound miter saw. And if you are like me, you will have to read 19 different miter saw reviews before heading to your local home center to make a purchase like this. And for good reason — Today you can easily spend over $800 on a 12-inch slider. It’s a big ticket item that you will (hopefully) be using for years to come, so it pays to get it right the first time. Let me start your search with a closer look at the “king of the green machines”: the Hitachi C12LSH 12 inch slider.

this is SO not a picture of me! I’ve been in a “Linky Love” kind of mood lately…combine that with my bad habit of drooling on my computer when I view recipes and you have a Recipe Roundup! My New 30 has a recipe for Apple Cobbler with Easy Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream . Note: she said EASY. How often do you see that when it comes to making ice cream? Check it out! Cheryl at TidyMom (who I absolutely adore) made an Upside-Down Apple Pecan Pie . Umm….yum?
