Toy Story 3 TrailerToy Story 3 (2010) Movie, Videos — By Jacob on October 9, 2009 | The look of the original Toy Story still holds up remarkably well in spite of its age (which is ancient by CG standards), but it’s amazing to see how far Toy Story 3 has come. It’s like playing Xbox 360 now and looking back at the Playstation games that used to seem so incredible and realizing that it all looks so hideous. One feels a little wiser and more perceptive in reflection.

Barnes & Noble is gearing up to release its own e-book reader next year. As of July, B&N already has its own e-bookstore with over 700,000 titles so that’s a great way to convince folks that they’ll be able to e full use of the e-reader on day 1 but will Amazon’s lead with the Kindle be too great by then? Sony released its own version of an e-reader this year too but it hasn’t been nearly as popular as the Kindle so it will be interesting to see how a top bricks and mortar book player competes with a top online book player in the space of “e”.

By Larry Dignan IBM Research on Tuesday unveiled plans to create a “DNA transistor” that would result in personalized genetic testing for about $100 to $1,000. If successful, IBM could take genetic testing mainstream. In other words, your future Best Buy shopping list may look like this: PC, digital camera, video game and DNA testing machine. For now, IBM is drilling nano-sized holes in computer-like chips and slurping DNA strands through them to read the genetic code.

My boy is 9. This is his first year in football. The coach is running a Wing-t offense, which I am familiar with from my HS days. My son is the smallest on the team, 4-1 and weighs 75 lbs. Needless to say he’s not the fastest kid on the team. The coach asked me what position I would like him to play, but I don’t know.

Most of the ones that I’ve found are kind of expensive, because they make you buy the whole package that includes all the other sports too, but this is the only one I care about, because I’m playing in college next year.
