Sep 30, 2009 TechnologyTechCrunch conducted a quick interview with social news site Digg.com founder Kevin Rose backstage during the TechCrunch50 conference. Rose hinted during the interview that a “bigger launch with a completely revamped website [would be coming] a bit later”.When asked if it was a mistake to startup Pownce, Kevin said it was a mistake not to appoint a CEO to manage the direction of the company where it could have been something big.Check out the complete interview below where

When it comes to all things mobile, simplicity is king. Simple UIs, easy-to-use handsets and uncomplicated games are all ideal when you’re on the move. The runaway success of the iPhone can be partly put down to the fact that it’s both simple and powerful. Google’s open source Android mobile OS looks like it may be sacrificing its ease of use as it fragments into an increasing number different versions. To date Android has been promoted to the public as an iPhone-rivalling mobile experience with Google services at its heart.

Running a social media campaign is a great way to get lots of visitors to a website but its very hard to target the campaign to a particular country. If your goal is to generate links, buzz or blog subscribers then worldwide traffic is fine but what happens if you are primarily interested in local visitors? In the past most people have used Digg , Reddit and StumbleUpon as the main networks to seed a viral article or blog post and this week I loaded up Google Trends to see which of these was biggest in the UK.

Tyra Banks thinks she’s a God. And the comedy world couldn’t agree more after watching her grand mal seizures over the years. We’ve been obsessed ever since Joel McHale ripped her on “The Soup,” and we’re still fans after she showed us her real hair in one of the funniest clip of the day.
