While Chrome OS is still a pretty rough sketch in our mind’s eye, the Google boys have hosted a press conference to answer a few burning questions. Among the myriad revelations, it turns out Eric Schmidt wasn’t stoked on building a browser when Sergey Brin and Larry Page brought it up about six years ago, given the fact that Google was still relatively small, and the browser wars were still fresh in everyone’s minds. After he saw an early build of Chrome, however, he changed his tune.

LG X13 netbook passes through FCC – soon to be launched in USThe LG X13 netbook is very soon going to make its debut in US as it has been recently spotted on FCC’s website. Compared to LG X120, it appears to have wider body, but there is no 3G in this netbook. This means that you have to buy yourself an external USB dongle to get yourself on 3G network. The LG X13 comes with the usual specs: Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard disk etc.Oh, did we tell you that we love that texture![FCC link]

Engadget is reporting that quite a few MacBook Pro users are starting to have problems with noisy HDD, espescially 7200RPM. This isn’t the first time that there are issues. Not much luck for this generation MacBook Pro’s. Remember the 3Gbps SATA transfers ? But luckily that is fixed now and after all it didn’t affected but a marginal percentage of users upgrading to SSD themselves.

MacBook Pro hard disk storage really seem to be down on its luck this generation. First was the 3Gbps SATA transfers (now fixed), which honestly didn’t affected but a marginal percentage of users upgrading to SSD themselves. Now comes word from a number of irate users on the Apple support forums that claim their HDDs, specifically those spec’d at 7200RPM, are suffering from performance issues and some audible clicking / beeping sounds.
