Filed under: Blu-ray This double dipping is getting out of control. The Watchmen Blu-ray disc hasn’t even released in standard and Collector’s Edition form, and Warner is already plotting a 5-disc set due for the holidays. As shown in the flier there will be 2+ hours of more bonus content, new commentary track plus the Watchmen Motion Comics packed in, with Tales of the Black Freighter i ntegrated into the director’s cut of Watchmen for an even longer movie.

Beta 2 of iPhone OS 3.1 is available to those developers that can get their hands on such builds. According to Engadget here are deets on the build. “Update: Looks like Apple has closed the door on hacks that enable tethering in this release — at least for AT&T; according to early reports. Update 2: We’ve just been informed that beta 2 also introduces what appears to be a public API for manipulating live video.

Today’s tattle has Acer launching its A1, C1/E1, F1, and L1 smartphones “at the end of September and in the fourth quarter” — that a four-month spread. Of these, the F1 running WinMo 6.5 (pictured above) on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform and A1 running Android are undoubtedly the most interesting.

Back at MWC 2009 Microsoft  first announced Windows Marketplace for Mobile , followed by an announcement of partners for the Windows Marketplace for Mobile during CTIA Wireless 2009. When we look upon the typewriter , we tend to think of it as a somewhat romantic, antiquated technology for the English major in us to write that great mystery novel we’ve toying with — not something we’d imagine anyone would still be using in a professional setting.
