Snap, looks like that painful feeling in our gut was just from that late-night Mickey’s sesh after all. HTC’s Peter Chou told SlashGear today that the monstrous, amazing HTC HD2 will be coming to the United States of America sometime in Q1 of 2010. That’s not too far off, but let’s be honest — it’s gonna be a long wait. And over on the right, well, that’s exactly what the Motorola Sholes looks like , isn’t it? Cat’s out of the bag, fellas — might as well push up those launch dates.

Can’t wait until December for Toshiba’s CELL REGZA LCD ? Sony is bringing its own 56-inch 3,840×2160 quad-HD display to market November 1 in Japan. Priced at 6,825,000 ($76,583) including taxes this is clearly for pros only, hence the TRIMASTER name referring to the three elements combined within — exact color, accurate picture and reliability — thanks to a RGB LED backlit panel built with incredible picture reproduction and exact calibration (with included software via a connected PC) in mind.

We’re currently at a multi-purpose Microsoft event right now — an event touring the company’s holiday lineup, as well as today’s launch of Windows phone devices (AKA, Windows Mobile 6.5). We had a chance to sit down with Robbie Bach, President of Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices Division, and ask him some questions about where the big M is headed with its recent lineup. Here are a few of our takeaways. We asked about convergence (or lack thereof) across Microsoft products.
