Just when you thought it was safe above 60-inches, Samsung’s showing off a new LCD at CEDIA with the best old-school CCFL tech has to offer. It may not have the sexy side profile of its edge lit-LED brethren or the cachet of certain plasmas but with the sheer size of the LN65B650, even shrouded by foliage in Samsung’s booth setup, we’re more than ready to catch a game on this baby. Samsung 65-inch LCD observed in its unnatural habitat at CEDIA originally appeared on Engadget on Sat, 12 Sep 2009 16:56:00 EST.

T-Mobile and Motorola weren’t too forthcoming with a US launch date for the CLIQ , given only a ballpark estimate of “holiday.” However, this supposed carrier roadmap pinpoints a November release for the social-equipped Android handset. No clue how long ago this slide was made or how valid the information is — note the placeholder image and non-capitalized title — but we can’t imagine T-Mo would wait too close to Christmas to unleash it on the willing masses.

photo by engadget I know all of you are saying WTF is going on here!? This cant be real! Sadly it is. According to the test results that Chris Hernandez, a Microsoft Software Engineer, posted on his blog , Redmond managed to get the Windows 7 upgrade time to be faster or equal within the five percent threshold to the Vista SP1 upgrade time.

It wasn’t great when Engadget shot a short demo of the ZEN X-Fi2 . The UI was laggy and gave the user such a horrible experience it was necessary to give it a take two. Creative has finalized the firmware and what follows will be the final state the X-Fi2 will be in. It’s not so bad, but screen seems too small and the PMP itself too big. It’s a touchscreen PMP for the desperately poor, I think. EpiZENter says Creative may not get into the touchscreen business altogether if the X-Fi2 doesn’t sell.

Along with the images came some alleged specs, conveniently sized up with its rival’s easyStore Home Server, showing it to be lighter, taller, and half the width, but also having room for only two 3.5-inch SATA drives versus four in the Acer version.
