Oh gawd, this one is one terrible Halloween DIY that shows you how to make a robot with iPhone teeth. Why would you even want to do that? Perhaps that’s exactly the point for this Halloween. Itunes 9 Apple have announced iTunes 9, with a new slick store design, ability to share / stream libraries & showed us something called iTunes LP. Bob Dylan’s “Highway 61 Revisited” a sort of deluxe edition album for $16.99 and one of the first to include new content that is available via iTunes LP. Basically LP includes new enriching content such as extra recordings and bonus videos / photos along with the album. Codenamed “Cocktail,” the new product is designed to boost album sales, as opposed to individual singles.

At the start of the event today Steve Jobs received a standing ovation from the assembled crowd, and took a moment to thank everybody for their support and encourage us all to be as generous as the organ donor who saved his life. Steve Jobs re-took the stage today as Apple held another of their trademark media events, announcing updates to iTunes, the iPhone, and the iPod. iTunes 9 is now released, which includes a slew of new genius-based features, but the one standout is that you can now share your iTunes library – by which they mean actually drag and drop files – with up to 5 computers on the same network. In fact, unless Engadget’s paraphrasing, the language Apple used is very telling: Home sharing: we’re going to let you copy songs, TV shows, etc.

Source: Engadget Apple just announced iPhone OS 3.1, which includes Genius recommendations for the App Store. The update also brings a ringtone store, with over 30,000 ringtones at $1.29 a pop. 3.1 is available today for free to iPhone users and iPod touch users with 3.0. Blogged with the Flock Browser

We apologize for all the Engadget linkages today but we’re an honest crew here at PMPToday and we’ve been refreshing Engadget all afternoon. Here’s the new iPod Touch third-gen in the flesh. If you’re disappointed the iPod Touch 3G doesn’t have a video camera, so am I. Guess, they’re afraid it would take people’s interest from the iPhone. [via engadget ]

Filed under: Software , Palm , Apple , webOS Here we go again: round umpteen of the fight to break and re-enable Pre syncing with iTunes is now underway thanks to the release of iTunes 9 , and we’re sure there’s plenty more where this came from. Endlessly amusing to casual observers, yes, but Pre customers are the ones losing out — sure, Palm might be able fix this in a jiffy (especially since they continue to tout compatibility with the Pixi ), but meanwhile, media sync’s out of the picture once more.
