Besides having a superior screen (OLED vs traditional LCD) and a sleeker form factor, Microsoft’s irrepressible ZuneHD may also have another clinching feature: the price. If the Best Buy leak Gizmodo has found were to be believed (confirmed by Amazon as well), the Zune HD prices are as follows: 16GB ZuneHD: $220 32GB ZuneHD: $290 Only known possible launch date is September 8. Commercialized PC repair services like Best Buy’s Geek Squad and, when it was still around, Circuit City’s Firedog are often mocked for being over priced and under qualified, the latter of which might be an unfair generalization. Or maybe not, now that we’ve seen Geek Squad’s CompTIA A+ preparation exam . The exam questions were sent in to Gizmodo from an “anonymous tipster,” and while some of the multiple choice answers are a bit amusing, you’d be hard pressed to find a question/answer combo that you couldn’t answer correctly without too much thought.

The fine fellows at Gizmodo have done it again, getting their grimy paws on leaked screenshots from the Best Buy backed. Zune pricing is going to be as follows: 16 GB – $220 32 GB – $290 Also, the September 8th launch was confirmed. Now to the fun part, let’s take a look at current iPod Touch pricing (via Apple.com): 16 GB – $299 32 BG – $399 Now I know that the Mac legions are going to point out one thing or the next that the Touch does that the HD does not, such as have an App store designed by Stalin, but look at the price differential.
