Dell Latitude Z Hands On: Kills Cords Completely With Wireless Charging – Dell Latitude Z – Gizmodo Similar to the Palm Pre but on a much bigger scale, the Z has power coils built in to the base of the notebook and so it charges wirelessly, through a magnetic inductive stand that’s an extra $200. Supposedly, it takes the same amount of time to recharge as a normal notebook power cord. The love for no cords doesn’t stop there.

Some homebrew coders have managed to record a video on the Palm Pre, although it is still early days, they have managed to get the pre to record video in a 320 x 480 resolution at 30fps. The Palm could manage video up to 720 x 480 at 30fps, so it looks like the coders still have a bit of work to do, none the less it is still impressive, you can see the video recorded on the Palm Pre after the break. We all knew it was just a matter of time before video recording came to the Pre.

These days, there’s been an increasing trend in the type of projects that I’ve been working on. Some very sophisticated multi-modal campaigns focused on creating a unified brand experience across the entire digital media ecosystem have at least, doubled in number (at least for me). Interestingly enough, these upcoming marketing campaigns don’t put DOOH, or any other specific media for that matter at “center stage” They use a more balanced or should I say blended mixture of media experiences.

After Google dropped the L-bomb on Cyanogen, he reportedly opened up talks with the boys in Goo. It sounds like they may have finally reached a compromise in their little disagreement. So the Cyanogen mod is back . It’s just slightly scaled down. Google didn’t like the fact that the mod builder was providing copies of their pre-made applications with his mod, so they made him remove them. Doesn’t make much sense really, since they come pre-installed in the actually Android phone.

Last week Gizmodo broke a huge story from Microsoft. Meet the Courier – a dual touch screen device that will redefine the idea of a personal computer. Sure that seems like a lot of rhetoric, but really, this thing is quite innovative. Check out the video here to see what the Courier interface will look like . There’s a lot of intuitive interaction between the two screens, and touch commands seem to work seamlessly. The use of a pen for sketching and notes is interesting too. Sure, this can be done on tablets today, but not in the interactive journal format that Courier proposes.

I am an avid user of Tweetie, and have found it to certainly be worth the $2.99 I had to fork out to begin using it. So as you can imagine I’m excited to hear that a new version is coming out that will add up to several new features that will make it even easier, faster and nicer to use than the current version. But you don’t need any introduction from me if you’re already familiar with Tweetie. Chances are if this headline caught your eye, you are.
