    AFSCME’s Highway to Health Care caravan arrived in Arkansas this week as part of a multistate tour in support of health care reform.           Highway to Health Care , AFSCME’s summer tour of nearly two dozen cities, yesterday rolled into Little Rock, Ark., where more than 250 union, community, senior and health care activists rallied for health care reform , sent messages to their lawmakers and shared a little barbeque.

Some brief excerpts with the jist: Raymond Azar, a 45-year-old Lebanese construction manager with a grade school education, is employed by Sima International, a Lebanon-based contractor that does work for the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also has the unlikely distinction of being the first target of a rendition carried out on the Obama watch.

( “centrist whores” ) by Glenn Greenwald, Salon After Tom Daschle was selected to be Barack Obama’s Secretary of Health and Human Services and chief health care adviser, Matt Taibbi wrote :  ”In Washington there are whores and there are whores, and then there is Tom Daschle.”  One could easily have added:  ”And then there’s Lanny Davis.”  Davis frequently injects himself into political disputes, masquerading as a “political analyst” and Democratic media pundit, yet is unmoored from any
