Remember how I said that I didn’t think that Edward Kennedy has as deep of a connection to migrant workers as his brother? Turns out I was wrong. Via the UFW blog : Since Sen. Edward M. Kennedy championed the cause of Cesar Chavez and the Farm Worker Movement after picking up the mantle from Sen. Robert F. Kennedy following his assassination in 1968, no national political leader has more effectively and selflessly embraced the farm workers’ cause. Year after year, Sen.

My old boss at CLAL, Rabbi Irwin Kula (I know, where haven’t I worked? There’s a fine line between an extensive c.v. and an inability to hold a job) has written an interesting take on Inglourious Basterds for the Huffington Post. He calls it the one Holocaust story “we have been afraid to tell about ourselves: the story of what we would really like to do to those Nazis”: Invited to stare into the Face of Vengeance and admit and own we even enjoyed the killing, maybe we can begin to heal and realize the innocence of suffering can never be redeemed by the exercise of power.

Stacy Summary : It’s funny how hard most of the Americans there totally defend oligarchy whether copyright, financial or insurance. But check it out . . . Ma’x’s latest Huffington Post blog . The website Mininova, one of the freedom fighters for free speech and innovation in the land of permissiveness, progressive politics and tolerance — the Netherlands — is getting harassed by a scared Dutch government kowtowing to the post 9-11 civil- and human-rights-infringing, copyright-cartel lobbyists in Washington and Hollywood.
