Here’s the Huffington Post take on left-wing protests in Pittsburgh yesterday, which erupted in violence, as globalization protests always do: Protesters have taken to the streets of Pittsburgh in opposition to the Group of 20 summit taking place Thursday and Friday. The protests have turned violent, the AP reports, with demonstrators rolling trash bins towards police, and officers firing tear gas back. Read more here. Its about a baby who has born in Indonesia and the baby’s weight is near about 19 pounds.According to the Huffington Post , An Indonesian woman has given birth to an 8.7-kilogramme (19.2-pound) baby boy, the heaviest newborn ever recorded in the country, a doctor said Wednesday. The baby, who is still unnamed and is 62 centimetres (24.4 inches) long, was born by caesarean section Monday at a public hospital in North Sumatra province, a gynaecologist who took part in the operation told AFP.

It’s a breathtaking double-cross, even by San Francisco standards: A newspaper left for dead by a philanthropist billionaire, who, in partnership with a university, public radio and even perhaps the New York Times, has transferred his affections to the Web. Oh, sad newspaper industry. Does anyone believe in you anymore? Private equity billionaire Warren Hellman was to be the savior of the San Francisco Chronicle , Hearst’s cash-bleeding newspaper, which has laid off scores of journalists as recently as last week.

Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters (and previously of Jackson United , No Use For A Name and Me First and The Gimme Gimmes ) has posted his second editorial for The Huffington Post . Titled Rally the Troops , the editorial covers politics and Chris’ concerns about the health care agenda: You can’t help but get swept away and feel all “fired up,” but almost nine months into President Obama’s term, what do we progressives have to celebrate? No doubt he’s done some good work, but he’s far too comfortable with status quo policy ideas for my taste.

This clip from “Weekend Update” was featured on the Huffington Post today. When an assistant (played by the adorable Kristen Wiig ) asks Obama if he would like to include Fox News in his press junket, Obama refuses. She suggests that the network may live up to its tag of “fair and balanced” coverage. The two turn on the television to find Glenn Beck rearranging the letters of Obama’s first name to spell “AROMA.” Oh, that Glenn Beck. He is incorrigible!
