Are you ready for this? The complete programing schedule for the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con has been announced and is live on their official website! You can read through the entire schedule by clicking here . I’ve highlighted the panels related to movies below that we are planning to cover here on FS. This looks like it’ll be another incredible year, which I will honestly say I wasn’t sure it would be. It looks like Thursday is the biggest day of the whole thing, with footage from Tron 2 , James Cameron’s Avatar , and Kick-Ass .

So it’s Friday, and it’s sunny, and it doesn’t exactly feel like a day for a serious blog entry . Lots of other bloggers post Friday Funnies and whatnot, and while I’ve never been one to follow the day-of-the-week blog rules, I do feel a need to keep it lighter. It’s summer! It’s beachy! International Obama: Leaders will work together on climate G-8 Summit- L’AQUILA, Italy (CNN) — Leaders of both industrialized powers and emerging economies have agreed to work together on setting a goal to limit global warming to levels recommended by scientists, U.S. President Barack Obama said at the G-8 summit. The G-8 countries — comprising the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and Russia — agreed to a target of reducing their carbon dioxide emissions by 80 percent by the year 2050 to try to prevent the Earth’s atmosphere from warming by more than 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit), Obama said.

What’s the difference between a prehistoric dinosaur and a journalist dinosaur? A prehistoric dinosaur didn’t know it was a dinosaur. For the benefit of our young readers, the instrument in the foreground is a “rotary” telephone, and those things spread across the desks are printed newspapers The old notion of a resourceful “ink-stained wretch” digging for facts out of the public eye, plucking the truth from complex human events, and writing about it all has been pushed aside on the fast track of media celebrity.

Remember when birthdays used to be really fun? No, not like Sixteen Candles fun. Get serious. They were like Christmas, I mean. You couldn’t sleep the night before because you knew the next day a huge party was coming your way … and possibly a new BMX bike with it. At the very least, a huge feast was planned, and you picked the menu. I always leaned toward never-ending chili dogs. Yep, those were the ’80s for you. Good times all around. Never doubt that. It’s the one constant in the universe.
