MagMe Puts Full Scans of Magazines in Your Browser – Free – Lifehacker . Web site MagMe displays full scans of popular magazines directly in your browser—covering the gamut from computer and lifestyle mags to art, fashion, and photography. And they wonder why print media is dying? I’m at the point that I think these print media publications need to stop killing trees anyway.  This is what a Kindle could be for, if they’d jump on board with Jeff Bezos.   For your subscription, and a 2 year agreement (or whatever is appropriate, I use 2 year agreement because I’m used to that with cell phones) you get a Kindle that will wirelessly get you the latest issue when it’s available.

New Podcast Now Airing: This Week in Google (TWiG) | Smarterware . Gina Trapani, formerly of the awesome site Lifehacker , and now of the equally awesome Smarterware , has teamed up with Leo Laporte and Jeff Jarvis for a new This Week in Google podcast.  If it’s got Leo’s name and (ahem) trademark on it, it’s guaran-damn-tee. In fact, there’s only one show on TWiT that I just can’t get into.

Whilst browsing the many on-line shops you may have seen Sun Jars, a solar powered decorative light in a jar that uses a small solar panel to charge it’s battery that allows it to light up at night, usually with a coloured glow giving a nice tranquil subdued light source for any room or garden.  Fancy making your own?
