More than 7 years after the launch of the Apple Switch ads, Microsoft once again finds itself the target of an ad campaign that attempts to chip away at its dominant market share. This week Google is launching the “ Going Google ” campaign, reports CNet , placing billboards in New York, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco that encourage IT managers to switch from Microsoft products to Google Apps. The billboards, which run for a month, will be changed every day to progressively explain the advantages of the Google Apps suite.

This is not going down quietly, though, as protesters are fighting back against what critics consider the infringement of free speech. However, with stations being “recovered” by the government, citizens and protesters alike have turned to a new communication platform to concentrate their efforts: Twitter.

Over the last few days, Venezuela has been closing down radio and media stations that are denouncing the government and its actions. This is not going down quietly, though, as protesters are fighting back against what critics consider the infringement of free speech. However, with stations being “recovered” by the government, citizens and protesters alike have turned to a new communication platform to concentrate their efforts: Twitter .

Well there’s irony. In a Twitter discussion over fair use, quoting and giving proper credit, an example I first tweeted about how much the AP charges goes full circle back to me, without me getting credit. Man, who can I blame someone for stealing my original journalism? A look at what happened, pulling together various tweets and posts to mailing lists.
