Rumours abound this week that Facebook are working on an integrated Twitter app to use within the 250 million member service. Inside Facebook this week reported on a test tweet from Facebook engineer Ross Blake which was delivered via ‘Penguin’. This is an interesting move as Facebook have recently undergone several Twitter-like UI changes in an attempt to move into a more stream-like function. Microsoft are intending to launch a host of retail stores in a bid to rival Apple’s highstreet dominance.

Amazon löscht bezahlte eBooks aus dem Kindle-Zugriff ihrer Kunden und ist sich der Tragweite seines Tuns nicht bewußt. Jetzt verspricht Drew Herdener per eMail ( Mashable ) “These books were added to our catalog using our self-service platform by a third-party who did not have the rights to the books…When we were notified of this by the rights holder, we removed the illegal copies from our systems and from customers’ devices, and refunded customers….We are changing our systems so that in the future we will not remove books from customers’ devices in these circumstances.” …

Faptul că muzica, filmele și jocurile sunt gratuit prin canalele online ’pirate’ nu este principalul motiv pentru care ’pirateria’ are atât de mult succes. ’Pirații’ se pricep mai bine la internet decât industria muzicală! Sunt mai buni când e vorba de a servi consumatorii. Mai rapizi. Mai ușor de găsit și de folosit. One important thing here that the entertainment industry doesn’t understand, is how piracy works. Piracy works very, very well.
