Don’t worry Vin Diesel, your reign as “biggest celebrity on Facebook” won’t be coming to an end any time soon. Although more and more brands, movie stars, sports figures, and other celebrities are moving to Twitter and Facebook as a way of interacting and sharing with fans, many of Hollywood’s A-List stars are still avoiding social networks. George Clooney is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars — he’s handsome, congenial, and talented — and also Facebook-page free.

There’s a new dustup in the long and rocky transition to digital music publishing. This time the industry has its sights on collecting performance fees for downloads of music, film and TV as well as licensing fees for the 30-second song samples Apple uses to let iTunes customers preview tracks. CNet reports that the two major agencies in charge of collecting royalties in the U.S., ASCAP and BMI, have been unsuccessful to date in negotiations on these points with electronic music retailers.

Three days ago,  Mashable ran the story  Danish Woman’s One Night Stand Video Is a Government Hoax. httpv://www. youtube .com/watch?v=S-SSHxGGpjM It turns out this plea for help was a viral stunt created by Visit Denmark, the Danish government’s tourist agency, to draw new male tourists to Denmark. Before the video was taken down, it was viewed 800,000 times on YouTube .
