It’s a new campaign devised to protect users from getting scammed; Microsoft worked with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Postal Inspection Service, and Western Union to provide public service announcements (PSAs) in the form of ads on Bing results pages.The ads should appear for relevant keywords only; I’ve tried about a dozen different combinations, and haven’t seen them, but it could be because I’m not located in the USA.

(I tweeted Charles and he asked me to mention BCCDIY in the comments – here goes…) Following @pezholio, the DIY Birmingham City Council site ( BCCDIY.com ) came out a sense of frustration that quickly turned into a postitive attempt by a group of us in Birmingham to try an experiment. Could a team of volunteers build a website as good as, if not better than the original site in a short space of time? “Better” is a difficult thing to judge on a site of the size of a city council.
