Seems like Twitter is experiencing firsthand the pitfalls of cloud storage. “Hacker Croll” apparently gained access to Twitter documents by hacking into an employee’s personal account and then downloading papers that had been stored in Google Docs. Hacker Croll then sent 310 formerly confidential documents to TechCrunch, which is now publishing some of them. TechCrunch’s decision to publish is proving controversial , but the move isn’t surprising. It also appears to be lawful.

I saw an interesting article here In the article Chris Steuber profiles and discusses the top 10 prospects in the Giants organization right now. I enjoyed the article and I like scout.com but it got me thinking-how would I rate the top 10 prospects in the Giants system? “Prospects” is a different term in the N.F.L. then it is in baseball, where prospects have played X number of games in the Major Leagues (I think it’s in the 125 ballpark and are generally minor league players) but I’ll say anyone who has played less than three seasons is a prospect in the N.F.L.

An undated screenshot of Twitter.com. REUTERS/www.twitter.com By David Lawsky SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Technology news website TechCrunch published on Wednesday sensitive internal documents belonging to Twitter, including financial projections, offering a rare glimpse into the wildly popular microblogging site. Twitter has a targeted revenue run rate of $140 million by the end of 2010, with the expectation it would record its first revenue — a modest $400,000 — in the third quarter of this year, according to a document Techcrunch published that it said was sent by a hacker.

Everyone might want to read this. I suggest a different password for every site then use roboform or lastpass with multifactor authentication. By CLAIRE CAIN MILLER and BRAD STONE Published: July 15, 2009 SAN FRANCISCO — You might think your password protects the confidential information stored on Web sites. But as Twitter executives discovered, that is a dangerous assumption.
