After watching Glenn Beck today, I had a realization hit me like a freight train, (maybe I dozed off and it was a nightmare) and honestly, it scared me half to death! Is Obama trying to bring about a simple Revolution, or is it worse? As if a revolution isn’t bad enough? I am sure, that if you read anything I write, you more than likely watch Glenn Beck as well, so, it is to you that I am speaking.

It sure is getting crowded at the head of the Obama Gaffe Line. While Joe Biden, The Lobotimized Howdy Doody (Gibbs) and a teleprompterless President are always good for a good gaffe or ten every few weeks, we now seem to have a female administration official who is looking to break the glass ceiling and give Democractic women the world over the opportunity to put their foot in their mouths with the best of them. And all without causing even the tiniest little run in their pantyhose.

A n audience in Bowker Auditorium, traversing the political spectrum from Rush Limbaugh supporters to self-proclaimed “anarcho-communists,” gathered Wednesday, October 7 to witness Meghan McCain, daughter of Republican Sen. John McCain, deliver a speech entitled “Redefining Republican: No Labels. No Boxes. No Stereotypes.” Her appearance opened with a call for applause for the republicans in the room who, despite the overwhelming liberal environment that is Amherst, came out in support.

So… Meghan McCain has found herself yet another way to get attention controversy. This time, it’s over a picture she posted on her Twitter account. She said: my “spontaneous” night in is my Andy Warhol biography and takeout….I’m getting old And she then posted the following picture: Predictably, this got a lot of responses. Some people were loving it, some were probably turned on, and some were — GASP!! — offended.

Many on the right side of the blogosphere —- such as Michelle Malkin , Hot Air, Stop The ACLU , Moe Lane , The Other McCain , GayPatriot and THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS — have posted this except from Glenn Beck’s show showing White House official Anita Dunn referring to Mao Tse-Tung as one of her favorite political philosophers: Of course, as David Weigel notes, Dunn isn’t the only American politico to seemingly quote Mao favorably while making what clearly is a joke: Does that mean that McCain is a Chinese Communist too Glenn ?

In the end in turned out to be much-a-do about nothing. It had been earlier feared that 6 year old Falcon “Balloon Boy” Heene was missing and speculated that he was in a silver flying saucer shaped hot air balloon adrift. Thousands of people watched on cable news and the Internet as helicopter cameras tracked the balloon floating aimlessly above rural Colorado.

Last night, Meghan McCain, the daughter of Senator John McCain who’s made something of a name for herself (whether it’s for good or ill depends on who you ask) sent out a Twitter message that would’ve probably been the story of the day if it weren’t for Balloon Boy: Meghan McCain, blogger and daughter of former presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, threatened to quit Twitter this week and then apologized to her nearly 60,000 followers on the social media site after posting a racy picture of herself in a tank top Wednesday night.

I understand that MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann recently referred to uber-Rightospherian Michelle Malkin as a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.” This both amused and befuddled me – I mean, fer cry-eye. What does that even mean? “She’s a mashed-up bag of meat?” And what does it mean that you can get your own show on MSNBC with metaphors like that? Or was it even intended as a metaphor? Has Olbermann so lost touch with reality that he thinks Malkin is a literal mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it?
