I can’t make it to Washington DC today for the national 9/12 march, but I’m with all the marchers in spirit. It’s been an unprecedented year for limited government activism. It would never have been possible without the early initiative of grass-roots leaders in the #tcot community on Twitter, Smart Girl Politics #DontGo — and concerned moms like Keli Carender and Amanda Grosserode who stood up in their communities against reckless spending in Washington before anyone was listening.

It’s time to reconnect with our founding principles. Fifty-six men signed the original documents that every American patriot still believes in with all their heart over 200 years later. Fifty-six men changed the world forever. We currently have 535 people in the United States Congress. You can’t tell me that we don’t have 56 committed patriots there who understand that there’s an illness in D.C. and would like to do something about it, but just don’t know how or what to do.

I’m a child of the Vietnam era, and I’ve managed to keep my eye on the news — and the protests — for the 40 years since those Vietnam era protests.  I know exactly what they’re supposed to look like.  They’re supposed to be heavy with references to

It isn’t really a “new” country.  It’s just a simple RETURN of our Nation to a CONSTITUTIONAL government.  There were over TWO MILLION people at this rally in DC today.  No one was arrested.  Nothing was burned.  No monuments were defaced.  No broken glass anywhere.  No cop cars burning.  No overturned busses.  None of the CRAP that the leftinistra are ALWAYS involved with.  Just pissed off AMERICANS, Dems, Repubs and Inds.  We are SICK AND TIRED off the government – a government NOT adhering to the United States Constitution.

Via Memeorandum Stephen Green is getting out the info on the Washington DC march over at VodkaPundit . CNN is reporting that two million people have flowed in to the capitol for today’s march. Judging from the pictures put up at Instapundit , the estimates may not be far off. If there was anything constructive to say to Fox hate-spewer Michelle Malkin, I’d like to dignify her book signing with a protest. Any ideas? Don’t feed the troll ?
