  CNNMoney.com Pre-Market Report – Aug. 13, 2009 The only reason that stocks are set to soar are because the wealthy are going to be doing what is known as profit-taking.  Like I told you before, companies always operate with a certain amount of residual cash.  And this residual cash is not used under any circumstances in any way other than to simply try to gain a little profit for the company and generally how they do that is they buy stocks for a certain period of time and then they sell those stocks quickly to make profit in a kind of short-term manner.  And so as a result that’s what you’re seeing.

Working together as a family to lose weight can be the push you need to actually do it. After all, you want what is best for your family, right? Yesterday, Mediaite’s Robert Quigley posted a list of 8 gaffes (later reduced to 7) by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, along with the assessment that Gibbs “largely gets a free pass from the media for his many blunders.” I thought it was only fair to give Gibbs a chance to respond, so I emailed him to see if he had any reaction to the piece. While he said he had “no real response,” and that he was “happy to get the criticism,” he did have a few factual corrections for us.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more absurd, Congressman Patrick McHenry tells a town hall meeting that he is not sure that President Obama is a U.S. citizen. This comes on the heels of claims by Congresswoman Virginia Foxx that health care reform will cause “seniors to be put to death by their government.” Not to be outdone, State Labor Secretary Cherie Berry said at a Hickory rally against reform sponsored by Americans for the Prosperous I for one will not submit to being counseled when I’m 65 years old about my duty to die These are not uninformed citizens, scared about losing their jobs, manipulated by the fear-mongering forces funded by insurance companies.

Today, I received a link to my site from Hope2012, a website that points out the many infractions of our constitutional rights and the ongoing spying on Americans by our own government. Now, the Obama administration wants to install tracking cookies on government websites. I have always been a strong critic of the government spying on American citizens, however, today I am engaging in an abrupt about face – and I’ll explain my rationale for supporting limited spying on American citizens.In these times of internal upheaval, which is escalating by the day, GOP operatives are infiltrating Town Hall meetings and advising their followers to carry concealed weapons.
