It’s been a good productive work week! YEEHA! Goodness gracious, my head is spinning with all this talk and arguing over health care reform. UGH! Who to believe?! The plan sounds really cool and all, but then there’s been all these town hall meetings where average American citizens are fuming mad at Obama’s plan. And the conservative right-wing assholes on Fo x and radio are having a field day ripping the president to shreds over what they call “evil socialist Nazi” Obama policies.

He’s Bacccck! Punishment over, time served, apologies made, and all the other obstacles Michael Vick had to endure; while pleading guilty to his involvement with dogfighting. Everything is now water under the bridge and the Hokie and Falcon star can get back to business as usual or can he? Will the NFL fans and animal rights groups let Vick off the hook now? Probably not and they will still be some trying to come after him and won’t let him off so easy.

Back in July the political world was stunned when Sarah Palin abruptly resigned – she walked away from her last eighteen months as governor up there in Alaska, saying her surprise resignation proved that she wasn’t a quitter. And that made perfect sense to her, even if every political observer in the nation was flabbergasted. But she gave no other reason – those smarty-pants media types who did not follow her reasoning just didn’t get it – or they were picking on her again. Everyone is always picking on her.

The media are currently apoplectic about the Obama-as-Hitler references at town hall meetings across the country.  As we have reported again and again , they are often incorrectly ascribing these references to talk radio host Rush Limbaugh and conservatives – as it is lunatic fringe Leftist Lyndon LaRouche that is making these Obama-as-Hitler posters and comparisons. But this collective media conniption at references to the President as Der Fuhrer is a new development.  Back in the George W.

It is tough when most of the people you work with, ie white middle aged males, are Rush Limbaugh listening conservatives. Living in Los Angeles I realise that the liberal white male is more common on the west side of town. Once you get east of the coastal district you get more of the normal American pattern, women tend to be liberal or at least concerned with human values, men tend to be conservative or into macho values.

So it’s a dozen lost advertisers and counting for Lonesome Roads, with advertisers who didn’t even buy Glenn Beck’s FNC show on purpose publicly running away from the crazy train. Fox News doesn’t seem to be too concerned; after all, most of the ad dollars are merely shifting to less controversial shows … like Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly … wait a minute…! But the Beck show may soon look a lot like a public access production, with nothing but promos running between segments.
