Twenty-four days ago, I was pleased with what I learned during Mark Levin’s interview of ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith . Today, the sportswriter and commentator solidified his place in my heart when he appeared with host Christine Romans and author Joe Queenan during the “Ticker” segment of the CNN program, Your $$$$$ , yesterday. The topic of the day? Whether or not black players in the National Football League were being truthful when they said they would not play for Rush Limbaugh if he became an owner of the St.

Long ago, I am reminded of what Pete told to moi in one of our many cellular phone conversations:It doesn’t matter where it comes from…Going forward to the year 2009: As usual after mass and whenever we have a chance during breakfast, the three of us would listen to The Rush Limbaugh Show – Excellence in Broadcasting on our local radio station 560AM-KSFO (between the hours of 09:00am to 12:00am, Monday through Friday). As a reflection of our educational system and how limited the knowledge of black people who are so destitute and rendered hopeless by the political party (i.e.

When sports and politics collide, it’s generally never a good thing. Take the spat between poverty pimp Al Sharpton and right-wing blowhard Rush Limbaugh over the latter’s bid to own a managing stake in the St. Louis Rams – which is currently one of the worst teams in the National Football League. “Rush Limbaugh has been divisive and anti-NFL on several occasions with comments about NFL Players including Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb,” Sharpton wrote to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in a letter obtained by TMZ.com .

Artworkby Dark Black I was hoping that the NFL Players Assoc would come out strong against Boss Limbaugh buying into the St. Louis Ram’s franchise. From ESPN : In an e-mail to the union’s executive committee on Saturday specifically addressing Limbaugh’s bid, Smith said, “I’ve spoken to the Commissioner [Roger Goodell] and I understand that this ownership consideration is in the early stages. But sport in America is at its best when it unifies, gives all of us reason to cheer, and when it transcends.

One of the problems with being an ideologue who abandons reality is that it makes for very, very strange bedfellows. For example, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh — two guys who would rather soul kiss Michael Moore than be identified as lefties — have both jumped on the antivax bandwagon . Beck is spouting long-debunked paranoid antivax rhetoric, and Limbaugh is, well, he’s just being Limbaugh. He’s long planted his flag in knee-jerk anti-government silliness, never admitting that maybe, just maybe, sometimes the government is right .

AP – The Rev. Al Sharpton wants the National Football League to block conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh from bidding on the St. Louis Rams.

As you can see there is a lot of people who are not excited about Limbaugh being involved at all with the league. Al Sharpton is playing some serious defense for the St. Louis Rams — The Rev has launched an all-out blitz to keep Rush Limbaugh from buying the NFL franchise. In the wake of several reports that Limbaugh is serious about becoming an NFL owner, Sharpton fired off a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, begging the football honcho to reject Rush from the league.
