NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, a little man with too much power doesn’t like conservative points of view, so he says Rush Limbaugh has no place in the NFL. Rush Limbaugh knows more about the NFL and how to run a team than Roger Goodell. Remember, Rush worked for the Kansas City Royals, he’s no dummy when it comes to running a franchise, he’s much more qualified than Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, an avid Obama supporter, who got a piece of the Miami Dolphins.I don’t think Fergie has any business in the NFL, and I’m sure most people would agree, however, it’s her money, and the transaction doesn’t concern you, me, or Al Sharpton.

Rush got smoked by the ’system’. Welcome to 2009 in the US.  Political correctness is at an all-time high.  People are scared to do or say anything that might get them branded a you-know-what.  Racism is still alive and kicking in these United States.  Everyday, she rears her ugly head.  Not much has changed, if you want to be brutally honest.  The display isn’t as open as it was 50 years ago.  Nowadays, you have to have a keen eye and ear to pick up the covert racist things that occur.

Zandar in his roundup of reactions to Rush Limbaugh getting punted from the NFL : [T]he Corner’s Andy McCarthy blocks with his face to protect his QB with one of the most insulting comparisons I have ever read Yes, McCarthy compared El Flushbowl to … MLK. Rush Limbaugh Reuters reports that conservative douche radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been dropped by a group in the process of purchasing the St. Louis Rams. Womp womp. Dave Checketts, the chairman of SPC Worldwide (the group leading bids to buy the Rams), called Limbaugh a “distraction” and hoped that continuing without him would “eventually lead us to a successful conclusion.” Limbaugh’s participation in the bid was met by outrage by many NFL players, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was not exactly open to the idea either: We’re all held to a high standard here and divisive comments are not what the NFL’s all about.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh was dropped from a bid to acquire the St. Louis Rams after it became clear that his part-ownership of the team wasn’t going to win the approval of enough NFL owners. Dave Checketts, a sports businessman who is leading the effort to buy the team (and keep it in St. Louis), dumped Limbaugh from the $750 million deal based in large part on the resurfacing of controversial comments Limbaugh made during an aborted 2003 stint as an NFL commentator.

Racist Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from the group that is trying to purchase the St. Louis Rams. Via SI: If conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh ever had much of a chance to be a minority owner in a successful bid to buy the NFL’s St. Louis Rams, it is now over, two league sources have confirmed to SI.com. In a statement released Wednesday evening by St. Louis Blues chairman Dave Checketts — who is heading the group that hopes to buy the Rams — he announced Limbaugh’s official exit from the bid.

Apparently Rush Limbaugh’s hopes of gaining partial ownership of the St. Louis Rams have exploded, according to SI.com . Is this fair? Your answer to that question depends on your reference frame.  Granted, there are several ways to analyze the ethical, legal, and political issues raised by Limbaugh’s attempt to enter the circle of NFL owners.   Reasonable people can disagree.

It was obvious that Limbaugh’s bid to buy into the NFL was doomed. But why do NFL owners hold themselves to higher standards than the rest of us?

Ah, I see the wingers are in full tizzy mode (actually their default mode) because El Rushbo has been dropped from the group looking to purchse the St. Louis Rams. It’s all so unfair! And Limbaugh, of course, protests that he’s not racist, he’s never been racist… It’s just that he has a looooooong history of saying racially charged things. Media Matters has the canonical list . What’s really going on here is this: White Limbaugh listeners ( is there any other kind), and maybe Rush himself, are angry that they have the occasionally racially-charged thought – and aren’t allowed to express it.
