Mark Tuesday, November 3 on your calendar and reminder. We will learn a lot about America’s Excellence, her Vigilance, her resilience and her ability to differentiate between watercress and raw meat. There are three elections coming up, and I suspect their imminent concatenation is at least one reason for the president’s dithering on Afghanistan and other matters, even though he is more accomplished as a campaigner than a decision maker.

Goodell and King went back and forth a bit, but King refused to budge on his position that Limbaugh was being smeared as a racist even though he’s colorblind about race.

In its most extreme form, duopoly ideology amounts to nothing less than the overt falsification of reality. As I argued in a post on the ideology of the two-party state last week, the “limits of two-party ideology become readily apparent when one attempts to think third party and independent politics within the frames established by duopolist narratives and categories.
