Today Apple announced that the iTunes App Store had reached more milestones: 1.5 Billion (with a ‘B’), 65,000 total apps and 100,000 app developers. Steve Jobs was quoted as saying: “With 1.5 billion apps downloaded, it is going to be very hard for others to catch up.” This statement couldn’t be more true as we see other app stores ( Blackberry App World , Palm Pre’s App Catalog , Nokia’s Ovi Store and Verizon’s app store) launching and making every effort to catch up with Apple.
