When you’re looking to overhaul your retail store line, there’s really know better place to turn than Apple. If you visit an Apple store, you’ll generally see a huge consumer base who many times isn’t really buying anything. They just enjoy the Apple retail experience. Disney is looking to harness that same energy as they’ve turned to Steve Jobs for help in re-imagining their own retail experience. In 2006, Jobs joined the Disney Board of Directors, so seeing him help them with a new retail store idea isn’t anything drastically surprising.

The Nokia Booklet 3G is being rolled out through Best Buy stores in conjunction with the release of Microsoft Windows 7 next week.The Nokia Booklet 3G will be available at Best Buy stores in the U.S. at a subsidized price of $299.99 with a two-year data plan from AT&T. The netbook will come preloaded with Microsoft Windows 7 and will be available in stores and online starting on Oct. 22 — the same day Microsoft’s new OS is slated to roll out. AT&T and Nokia will offer the new Booklet 3G wireless netbook for only $299.

You have to hand it to Disney, no matter what you think of the Mouse House — when they have a problem with part of the business, they bring in the experts. First they have Pixar’s John Lasseter come in and take over animation (and they’re about to release what looks like the best 2D movie in ages ), and now they’ve got Steve Jobs himself sprucing up their retail spaces.

In 1990, Nike opened it’s first Niketown. At the time it was considered a big deal because it was a retail outlet that wasn’t based on selling “stuff”. Its reason for being was to allow consumers to experience Nike products and bask in the glory of Michael Jordan’s heroics. Fast forward to this morning as I open the N.Y.Times. There on the front page above the fold, “ Disney Retail Plan is a Theme Park in Its Stores “ . What I found so surprising was that the Times thought this was newsworthy.

day 3 singapore.. by now I cant imagine asia had much more to say. these first two shows were HEAVY.. but singapore showed em all up.. this is my second time here. first time inna club.. and steves 432 time here.. he was a bonified star.. we got chased in the hotel lobby type of star! we only had 8 hours here so we had to make it count.. me and steve were on sober fest 2009 so we were battling who can drink more green tea like aging japanese grannys… this must have bee a tired crowd at the end cause they had their hands in the air for 4 straight hours i swear..
