“The Legacy basically starts as a bad movie, a horror movie... You get a letter from an lawyer stating that you have inherited a large estate and a large sum of money, obviously you have to accept and say YES, if you say NO it's game over and you escaped the horror, but is that what you want? Very strictly speaking this is no escape game because yo go into the estate freely... but, well, the gameplay is still the same. You have many elements from Escape Games and many similarities to a point and click adventure, but a pure adventure game, it is not.
